The Tea on Tea

We brew ours the same way you do at home, just in a more ambitious bag.

Tea is tasty, versatile, and there's a variety for every mood and occasion. Sometimes floral, sometimes earthy, sometimes bright enough to make your afternoon feel like an actual pause. Every variety brings its own character and its own quiet little benefits. Tea has been doing good things for people for thousands of years. We just give it other friends to play with.

Chamomile tea is prepared from daisy-like dried flowers. It is widely used as a bed-time tea but underestimated for its versatility. It blends perfectly with delicate flavors and provides a smooth, buttery finish.
Green tea comes from leaves and buds that are dried. Next, they are either roasted or steamed to bring out their beautiful green color. The resulting oxidation produces an earthy, grassy flavor. We source a green tea with a low grassiness intensity, to better balance with its associated hop profile.
Our hibiscus tea comes from the petals, leaves, and calyces of the hibiscus flower. Hibiscus is naturally caffeine-free and has a lovely magenta color. It has a tart flavor similar to cranberries and is naturally acidic.
White tea comes from young tea leaves and unopened buds that are picked and dried in early spring. Because of this short window, white tea is the rarest. It is minimally processed, so the health benefits outweigh the other varieties of teas. It is considered "the World's healthiest tea" due to its high concentration of antioxidants. It has a light floral flavor free of bitterness.

Let's Talk Hops

Maybe you think yourself a hop-spert or maybe you're just a novice, but either way, hops are way cooler than you think. Like way cooler.

First the nerdy facts. Hops are the green cone-shaped flowers of the Humulus lupulus plant and hidden inside each cone are tiny pods called lupulin, where all the flavor lives. Naturally gluten free too, just in case you were wondering. Ours are brewed the same way they have been for centuries, just not fermented. Much like their tea friends, each varietal brings something different to the party. Tropical, floral, woodsy, even peppery. Each one adding its own set of wildly wonderful something extra, including a little something for your zen. Told ya they were cool.

The Citra® hop is a high alpha acid hop with a citrus and herbal aroma. It is the most commonly used variety of hops in craft beer. It has specific aroma descriptors that include grapefruit, citrus, peach, melon, lime, gooseberry, passion fruit and lychee and a smooth bitterness when dry-hopped.
Mosaic® hops were bred from Simcoe and Nugget hops. They have a piney, pungent flavor accompanied by a fruity aroma with light notes of blueberry and tangerine.
Sabro® is an intense, unique variety of hops. It is notable for its complexity of fruity and citrus flavors, including distinct tangerine, coconut, tropical fruit, and stone fruit flavors, with hints of cedar, mint, and cream.
Lemondrop™ hops were derived from Cascade hops and have a unique lemon-like scent. They have a lemony herbal flavor with grassy and woody undertones.
Simcoe® is one of the most popular hops for brewing because it provides a pleasant bitterness and is smooth and complex. It is piney, fruity, and citrusy and complements a variety of different styles of brews.
